Description

The Quality Assurance Manager will work under the direction of the Quality Assurance Director to perform the required quality assurance inspections on utility scale PV systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to work individually and within a team to perform required quality assurance inspections on utility scale PV systems.
  • Responsible for verifying quality of work based on drawings, code compliance, submittals, and product manuals.
  • Oversight of project quality inspections and documentation to verify compliance meets the company’s Quality Plans and manual.
  • Complete investigation and documentation of non-conformance issues and root cause analysis.
  • Perform verification of quality work performed by contractor in a field-based setting.
  • Performs audits and inspections of contractor QC.
  • Audits of project quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Training of project personnel to perform QA inspections.
  • Ensure that inspections and documentation are completed per contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and populate Construction Management Software (Procore) inspection log of nonconforming items and corrective actions implemented.
  • Help maintain Quality policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Effectively manage Quality personnel who perform audit, inspection, and/or testing activities in accordance with the project quality program.
  • Maintain knowledge of all project plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Maintain an overall project quality plan including quality deliverables and due dates to comply with contractual obligations that meets company Quality Standards.
  • Ensure all subcontractors provide a copy of their Quality Manual and Site-Specific Quality Plan or plans to utilize VEP Quality plan.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with Vanguard Energy Partners Management Team.
  • Ability to identify and communicate problematic issues through Quality project milestones.
  • Prepare quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Ability to understand the correlation between construction scheduling surrounding the quality order and timing.
  • Assist in training all Quality technician levels.
  • Ability to develop punch list and track progress of project closeout.
  • Candidate must maintain integrity throughout their duration of their employment with VEP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Engineering Technology preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant construction industry experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical background preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Proficient in Procore, excel and Microsoft suite
